If you have never held one of these... you need to. One of my go to blades for camping! I also got mine from Choppaman Choppaman

Is there a more current home for the Fleamarket that someone could point me to? Surely the Fanatics group on FB isn't the only place for all the energy and trading that used to go on here.

I wish... I don't have FB so this is still the only fleamarket I know of.

As for the energy that was once here, much has changed in this subforum, and Blade Foruns in general, the last several years. Some of it is because some of the old heads that used to produce a lot of the content here have passed on. Some of it is because like in my case, the ordeal they called c-19 killed off a lot of businesses and a lot of people lost a lot of disposable income. I lost two companies myself when our local mayors (city and county) closed all the gift shops that sold my pictures and post cards here. Some of the knife companies I did marketing photography and website content for either went under or almost went under and had to cut back on expenses. Knife companies I designed for and drew royalties from sold, changed hands and methods. At the time I was already still strugling to recover from a divorce that changed my whole life and left me a single dad of an autistic daughter in 2016, and then a leg badly damaged in an accident the following year, fractured bones and torn cartilage tendons and ligaments in my left leg. Personally I went from 75K a year in 2018 to 17K in 2020 and 2021. It was a rough few years to navigate and I'm just beginning to recover from it all. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

As for more knives, there are currently about 200 in one place I'm sure you could guess and find if your interested, including some rare originals and some of my old ones I had to sell to survive the madness. Pretty cool stuff there. Some I miss more than most.

Mistwalker Mistwalker , thank you for the thoughtful response. I hope the leg has fully healed. I broke my femur in 2021 and now carry more titanium internally than I can afford externally. 😄

I'm pretty sure I know the place you're talking about. Fiddleback isn't the only brand being hoarded there. I can't say that I agree with the pricing structure from the seller, but I can confirm that private communications with them can lead to a satisfactory purchase. However, it's nowhere near as fun as the old Fleamarket and knowing the price of some of those originally, it's hard to pay a reseller more than Andy charged in the first place for his work.

Thanks, the bones have healed, still have issues with th cartilage and movement of the end of the fibula sometimes.

I'm pretty sure a couple I saw there were my some of my old ones I miss like the Black Ash Shank and the Lakewood Handle Curly Q Kephart. Yeah, the value doesn't usually go up that much on the secondary market when the maker is still making knives
