I did this same idea in the Busse forum. It was one of my favorite threads. So, without any reasoning or justification necessary in addition to your choice, what is 'The' Folder to you?

Uh, maybe the "Tuff"... (See avatar, heh)... But seriously, how can one really be sure, until it finally shows up? With folders like the "Tuff", the ZT 55X series, and the Vaporware-esque Busse Folder, all in the pipeline (allegedly), it's a tough choice. Perhaps, ultimately, there's no such thing as "THE folder", though I respect the guys who can find every knife-wish met in a certain model, and find contentment... :)
Now, start a thread called "The Folders", and we can talk.

I have had and used/seen many, the SR-1 is really great, hope you get it soon
monolithic construction, frame insert and rotoblock are non only cool but also great additions to make it really a unique and grat folder, maybe THE folder, there's always space for imporvements, between the 1st and snd run there are big differences and better precision and i'm hard on details

Great Easter Cutlery Tidioute Scout #73, just like this one, but without the liner lock and with a much prettier wood pattern on the handle:
