The Gamblers Edge

Thanks for a look into the construction of the dice. WOW,what a lot of work into something so small!

Thanks again,
Bill

Note to self: Do not gamble with Bruce.

Fantastic piece Mr Bump! I'm never going to play dice with you, thats for sure!
Cheers Keith

I'd love to see how this knife got put together.
What a sweet outside the box piece. Nice one Bruce!

Bruce, your pieces are always so dang cool .
'cut-n-shoot', 'elaborate display boxes', 'folder-n-handle', 'dice-n-handle' such cool and interesting designs.:thumbup::thumbup:

Bruce, you make our head spin with your always-ingenious works.

The fit inside the sheath was too neat to not show it housed. I started with that.

I'm wondering how those pliers formed those bars so cleanly. What did you do there?

I had NO idea these had weights in them, or were this complex. They just felt 'right'.

Anyone notice the lucky 7/11? ;)

Thank you!

Coop

Don't try to switch those dice in on a real crap game. I'd nail you on the first throw.

Great stuff, Bruce! Love the whole concept. Really appreciate the dice construction. Cool piece.

Hey thanks guys.
Playing "craps" is a hellofagame. I've actually never played it but its suppose to be pretty fast and exciting. I think a trained eye could spot my loaded dice in an instant so the dagger may help save my life. It was sure fun to build and I'll never make another one.
The WIP on loaded dice may be a "first" on bladeforums. :)

Jim, the pliers flattened the lead shot and I used a flat file on the granite plate to roll them out to the correct diameter.

I absolutely love everything about this build Bruce! Top knotch as always.

I've been dealing dice since 83 and you don't spot someone switching dice with your eye you catch them with your ears. It's been proven Time and time again that the hand is quicker than the eye. You will be able to switch them into the game if you are quick. The problem for you is that they will sound like cannons going off when they hit the table. The heavier the load the louder the dice. Yours might sound like a nuke. You would be caught instantly and no you would not get paid for that roll.

You think 26 grains too heavy would be heard? I better play with amateurs. :)

You impressed me with the pics of the dagger and then completely blew me away with the shots of the dice. Your on a whole nother level :-0. Way to go Bruce

Beautiful in concept and execution - and no surprise, given the source. Terrific work as always, Bruce.
