Don, that is an interesting design, but it does'nt look to have a nice grip, being box shaped IMO. More of a mountain bike tool or glove box to me.

I just don't trust Gerbers to get anything done. That's why my next multi-tool purchase is going to be a Leatherman Kick. Plus, an SAK probably has more tools.

It is true that square type knives would not be the best for comfort. Grip as in security would be just fine on it.

As far as not trusting Gerber Multi-Tools in general. Well, I've had Leathermans crap out on me, some of the originals that did not lock. These tools lock up securely.

i like this one, it combines a sak and a spy capsule, and i like gerber's interchangeable saw blade concept. i have metal and wood blades for my multitool and would like to try triming the shank of a sawzall blade for an even bigger saw. but, my old leatherman supertool is my go to multitool so its kinda irrelvant. thanks for the blog link don, i always enjoy reading your stuff

Yeah, the blog is random thought B.S. that doesn't quite fit on the website. (Might not fit anywhere as a matter of fact.)

The Leatherman Super Tool is a favorite of mine as well.

I carry a Victorinox Spirit multitool, and it's always finished the job it's been asked to start. Comfortable to use, locks up solidly, has'nt rusted or broken, that pretty much meets my needs for a multitool. Everyone is different and to each their own.
