1. It’s a useful tool that’ll last for a long time.
2. Not the same knife. It’s in M390 now.
3. Not the same knife. It comes with Micarta now.
4. Not the same knife. It’s got an awesome hollow grind now!
5. Got this one as a backup to my backup to my backup.
6. It’s a sprint run. You know how fast these things sell out?
7. I’ll give it to a buddy. Eventually. Someday. Maybe.
8. This one’s for kitchen work. Mostly.
9. I didn’t have a dedicated chopper until now.
10. I always wanted to try a pocketable fixed blade.
11. Did you know ESEE’s got a great warranty?
12. Our kids’ grandkids will inherit this.
13. It’s the Spyderco Military in a compression lock. We’ve been waiting since forever.
14. It’ll look great with the other knives.

Keep adding to the list. This thread’s just for fun. :D

This is a simple one if you're dealing with the women in your life.
They ask you to justify the new knife purchase, simply go to their closet and ask them to justify all the shoes and purses.

That isn't a new knife. I already had it. (This works on guns too).

Yes, this. Hence why I have no safe queens.

The whole dynamic changed after moving home at age 37 due to illness. My mom generally doesn't care or notice. I make sure my dad doesn't notice. I've given him a few knives and he just doesn't ask. Especially when I gave him a Kershaw Launch 8 just because it was a good deal on the exchange and he liked mine.

15. Whatever! I do what I want!

As long as you are NOT married, as I have NOT been for over 22, going on 23 years. LOL! ;)

Don't have to explain anything to my GF (who has her own $ and spends it the way she likes) nor do I have to explain anything to my mother (who passed away long ago but who never questioned how I spent $ on anything anyway).

So, this is why I can "do what I want" whenever I want." Double LOL! :)
