The gift of a Spyderco

I gave a Spyderco Endura to my brother inlaw about 2 1/2 years ago. I knew that if I paid too much for it he would not "use" it. Also knew he likes larger knives, and light knives. VG10 would be great for him along with a combo edge. (IMO the Endura has a long enough blade to make a combo edge work well.)

So 2 1/2 years later of "real EDC" she looks like this. The ZDP Endura is my "beater knife."

Pix are from today, we also put a CRK type lanyard on her....

Very cool. I have gifted a bunch of Spyderco's over the years.
Each person has really liked them and used them. They are my
gift of choice.

Photos of actual users' are the best IMO. Long live the Endura!

Nice one So-Lo! I agree with you, you have to have a bigger blade if you want combo edge. I just gifted a CE Millie to a friend who just got hitched, he said he cant keep it out of his pocket!

Honest to God, I wish I could go back in the day where I could be that happy carrying one knife. Look how happy he is 2 1/2 years later. He LOVES to carry and use it, loves the scratches all over the clip and blade.

I like that it's so easy to touch up :D

Thanks to Spyderco for doing what you do!

Nice.
I sent my twin brother a Poliwog while he was deployed.
He still carries it. Even had one of locals on base laser engrave his name on it.

Looks neat.
My Endura4 is one of mine that I cant find.
Lost my SOG Aegis too.
I'll probably find both of them when I clean my apartment.

Great post So-Lo! I'd be very curious about your BIL's review of the knife, as a non-knut. What does he do? What does he think of it? (yes, the grin says a lot)

Did he carry a pocketknife before? How/how often does he sharpen it? etc.

It was my buddies birthday yesterday. He got my Mini-Manix.
He's a great guy, and good with taking care of things. I know the knife is going to a good home.

(and now I have more room in my knife box for when the Chokwe and Leafstorm come out.:D)
