I'm sure many of you remember this knife, and how special it is to me:

I got it awhile back from Mike Berkovitch, and though it's already been lightly used, I could never bring myself to actually use it myself. Being my only copperhead I just didn't want to mess it up.

Well, I went to visit Evan last night after his son's baptism, and I got one heck of a surprise! As a congratulatory gift on my new son, Evan and Charlie conspired to give me this knife:

It's another copperhead PPP, but this one is in pristine condition! And that means my original one is going straight in my pocket, to carry with pride, and be something very special to pass on to my son when the time comes!

And since I've got another Charlow to stick in my pocket, it only seems fair to take one out, and pass it on to one of you!

Open to anyone with a few posts in the traditionals forum, international members are welcome too, just post in this thread and in a few days I will randomly pick a new loving home for this Day's Work:

It's been used a bit, got a nice patina going, and it's still got another lifetime of work days left in it! (Or two!)

Thanks again to Charlie and Evan, and thanks to everyone who makes this forum special! You guys are the best!!!!

Wow! True awesomeness all around. That's going to be a great knife to pass on to the little guy Phil! Lot's of true friends and family here and examples of such every day.
Not an entry. I'm trying to generate some funds right now to purchase a Spey Day's Work TC in the Exchange right now, so I would gladly like to be in on a chance on this one.
Very nice of you Phil.

Edit; Phil, I'm retracting my "I'm in". I was able to generate the funds to purchase a smooth yellow bone Spey in the exchange here. I'd like to see someone else have a shot at yours. Thank you for the chance though and may your little guy live a long healthy life. He's lucky to have a Dad like yourself that can teach him proper knife responsibility and caring for others. Good luck to the rest of the gang here on a chance for a fantastic knife.

Beautiful story of generosity, and another act on your part. Please count me in as I have been itching to drop a Charlow in my pocket. Thanks!

Congratulations Philllll on the additional Copperhead and your new son.:thumbup::)

Those Copperheads have been showing up more lately, maybe it is the spring warmup causing it ??:confused::D

Very nice conspiracy Evan and Charlie. ;):D

Not an entry as my Days Work Saddle Brown already sees some work.

Great GAW Phil and good on you, Evan and Charlie. I will opt out as I am blessed with being on the receiving end many times here.

Holy cow! I'd love a chance at this one, please count me in.

Congratulations on the new copperhead

What a great story. I love seeing this kind of thing go on. I have one TC Barlow that was gifted in the Epic Charlow GAW and it's been with me daily. I am very fond of the TC Barlow and the saw cut bone is wonderful. Thank you for hosting this GAW.

Not an entry in hopes that someone that hasn't owned a TC Barlow will receive it.

Chris

Congratulation Phil for new baby son, Evan and Charlie are truly great guys. Nice knife you have there my friend use it and enjoy it.

Mike

Excellent outcome: a knife to use and enjoy and its double to keep and admire or to give to another generation or as backup. This is Knife Knirvarna:thumbup::cool:

Thanks, Will

Congrats on the new son, Phil and the baptism, Evan. What a wonderful sentiment to pass on the generosity. Not an entry, or better yet, if I win send it to Bob. (BigBiscuit)

Congrats to you for having a healthy son (and to Evan on his son's baptism)! That's a great looking TC and I appreciate a chance at it!

Congrats to the pair of you! I would love the chance to put in a day's work with that bad boy in my pocket....
