The Good Old Days

Better hurry up and follow that IG money Warren, heck at this point by the time you have 5000 followers IG will be old hat anyway- gotta keep a lookout for the next thing!
Oh, and always invest in more equipment! That's what I do... and look at me, I'm broke and struggle to keep up with orders and I'm still fixing old machines I got for cheap and... well jeez, that actually ended up on a bit of a sour note. What was I saying?

I remember a lot more arguing and bickering in the past compared to the general attitude today.

Nothing like the joys of old machines lol
As much as I love them, I'm starting to think my next mill will be a new Bridgeport. Going through this edm machine has got me rethinking the economics of buying used....
Cry once when you buy it, or cry every time the basketcase breaks down

I think it’s impossible to get ahead of the spending to increase production so you can finally make a decent profit, unless you inherit a fully stocked machine shop.

All I’m really looking for is someplace where people can see my work without seeing my political commentary like currently happens on Facebook. Knifemaking keeps me sane with the high stress mental health work I do for a real living.

You hit the nail on the head. I was lucky enough to inherit probably 80% of my tools and machinery.
I could never have got where I was otherwise.
Even with that, the spending is still never ending. I've stopped trying to pretend the machine I have my eye on will be the last thing I need, it won't be.
