The greatest birthday ever!

Great knife. The russlock was still a new pattern for case at that time and i liked it so much especially in autumn that i bought 2 of exactly like yours and i still carry it on occasion and the other is still mint in the box

First off, I would like to thank everyone for their kind birthday wishes and sentiments. This forum is a wonderful place to hang out and I enjoy it a lot. I get to experience a wealth of knowledge and photos of some beautiful knives anytime I want. Cool.

Prior to now I'd never really given the russlock a second look. Liner lock, nope don't like them. Weird little opener and blade shape always reminded me of a pterodactyl head. Pretty bone on most of them but I would always get distracted by some other shiny the dealer had in his case and move along to something else.

Well, shame on me for judging a book by its cover. This is a great pattern. It's not too big nor small, easy to use, fun to play with, and a lot prettier to me than non traditional one handers. Add to that the sentimental fondness and the russlock is a win win. Cool.

Congratulation Grant!
Now every time you stick your hand in your pocket, there's your Dad.
You are very fortunate, Happy Birthday
