So about a year ago I post pics of my new favorite gun, Ar 15 chambered in 6.5 Grendel. I did some work to it over the winter and finally finished about a week ago. I spent about 20 min getting it sighted in and put three shot in the same hole at 100 yards. I can't wait for a break in the weather so I can start pushing the range back out to 500+. Sorry, forgot to take pictures of the target. I was trying to beat a storm that was moving in.

Well here she is

looks good - you build it yourself?

i have a lot of high end ar stuff at home but no actual rifle - i should get one as long as they are available

btw we can only buy uppers and lowers from OA a german maker (can you imagine being limited to only one manufacturer?) - i had a hard time getting all the la rue tactical and other parts from US makers

Thanks guys. The only thing that I did not assemble was the upper. That takes more skill than I have.

Evo that would be horrible. I did a lot of shopping around and comparing for each part.

I will work on that for the next pic. I did have my Rat Trap and AD on my side. :D

That's a nice looking setup!! I have always wanted to have a longrange AR.... Sounds like she groups well!!

I was able to sneak out and zero my new rifle last weekend as well... My goal is to hit the range / crown-land more often this year.

- Savage Action
- Bedded and Blueprinted
- Lothar Walther Barrel chambered in .260
- McMillian Stock
- Atlas Bi-Pod
- Nightforce 8-32x56

WOW! Bro that is some clean looking action right there. My next build is going to be a 300 Blackout. I like the fact that you can use AR15 223/5.56 accessories.

I have a custom .260, great shooter! Could use better glass though, right now it's wearing a Leupold 4-14x40 LR.

Those are some nice rifles there. 6.5 Grendel is sort of a connoisseur round, guys who build one usually know what they are doing.
As luck would have it after an 8 month wait, just yesterday I picked up my dream rifle that I have wanted since I was a kid, Accuracy International. Mine is in 6.5 Creedmoor. I picked it up and as evening was falling raced to the range. Did not have time to do a proper scope mount, but I had another gun with a LaRue detachable mount so with 20 min left to shoot, I popped the scope on top of the new rifle. This is the first 3 shot group out of the gun. It is outstanding. :D

Congrats!! They are great shooting rifles! I went with .260 as it was easy to neck-down all my .308 brass from my old rifle :D

Fully agree! Mine loves Lapua 139gr Scenar's.... and.............. Remington 140gr Core Lokt's

I previously had a Vortex PST on top, but swung a sweet deal on the Nightforce. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have gotten the 32x... The mirage is pretty strong on warm days and I have to dial it back to the low 20's.

Below is the load work I was doing... 43gr's of H4350 produced the best results for me.

It looks like a lot of 260/6.5 fans around here; the Busse crew has good taste. Hornady 140 amax is what i could get yesterday.

mach 5 The creedmoore was actually my first choice but I do not reload YET.
Jay I would say that you have a winner with the bottom two groups.
