Actually, that's a far better knife than the Gerber Guardian.

Sheath looks good too. Is that clip mirror polished or satin finished?

I have a guardian and agree that this is a higher level knife all around.
Is the clip removable on the sheath?
Is it a 'friction type' or pressure lock to hold the knife in with horizontal carry or something mechanical (clips?)

The clip is not removable unless you drill out the rivet .
It is friction hold on the blade , it is a snug fit . The pic is of a test sheath I did . The actual sheath is identical except the clip was mounted differently ( more secure ) in the leather , and the belt loop for horizontal carry was made wider for a standard 1-1/4" belt . It was still drying from the dye .

Shadowblade , the clip is just your nickle plated clip from leather craft stores .

Too all , thank you for all the nice comments of the work .

Petah , I may do that on the next one . I have 2 more waiting to be finished .

Jack I have a factory one in the mail , I guess I should have waited , nice looking knife

I had a forum member write me and suggest I get rid of that polished belt clip . Since I could not find a valid reason to disagree with him , I did . I treated the clip with a stainless steel blacken solution . Also added the 1-1/4 belt to help show the horizontal carry method .

Hope this helps , would like to sell her .

That reminds me of one of my favorite production knives, the Culloden, which I ended up selling due to CO blade length restrictions.

Sheath looks much better with the blackened clip. I'd buy this if we weren't restricted to 3.5" here. That is a very well designed sheath and that is a great price for this.
