With all due respect, I am not convinced a 3-finger handle is such a great idea as a "Kids" knife.
A 3-finger handle has a small fraction of the control over the knife of a proper full handled 4-finger knife.
Less control, less grip = more prone to accidents. IMO.
Just because it is so small doesn't (to me) make a good justification as a kids knife.
And while I like and am fine with many knives without guards for "Myself", I would have to lean towards providing children with knives with guards for their "Beginners" knives.
It is not my place to say what anyone should or shouldn't provide their children, but I feel I should mention some things for consideration.
