It was -11 this morning, but with the help of the "Hatchling", I got 'er done.
I figure she's good for about 2 cords a day.
Think I'll go have breakfast now.

Dunno why, but that just makes me smile.... 2 cords sounds a little conservitive though.... On the bright side, it's going to get up to 12 tomorrow!

You sure do have a loving wife to stand out in the cold first thing in the morning just to take a pic of you using a hatchet!

Why is that shipping pallet in front of your garage?

To keep the wood out of the melted snow -whenever that'll happen.
I had been using them for firewood, but then I drug all of this stuff out of the woods yesterday.
Think I'll start in August next year.

Not trying to be mean or anything (well maybe just a little) but it has been 70 degrees here for the last 4 days

it was -31 here this morning when i took the kids to school. i dont think you could have chopped any wood here. i think it would have just broken from being froze.

Ah, the Fahrenheit thing messed me up...
It was around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, here, so I am nice and warm :)

Karl, bit small to be splitting wood with? Did you split ALL that wood with the little hatchet? In that cold ass weather, you must be a glutton for punishment:D.
