I'm not sure if I want to get it or not, I read from Chuck that it basically sucks so I'm not encouraged...

In a nutshell: save your $20.

Some have called this a "coffee table book", but I would put it on the coffee table only to set glasses on to avoid rings on the table. Coffee table books are generally characterized by gorgeous pictures. Most of the pictures in HOB (you know I need a shorthand for everything) are just plain out of focus.

The text is incomplete. While the author offers a list of some past and present makers of custom balisongs, Jody Samson isn't even mentioned once. There are NO pictures of BS, PC, or BM customs. Les DeAsis is only mentioned once in passing. I could go on and on. The pictures are poor and the content is incomplete and that's all I'm gonna say.

BTW, Lew, it's not just your pictures that are out of focus, many of them are. So, it's a production issue, not a source problem.

You'd think that they would want to take nice clear pictures, AND give lots of credit to Les DeAsis for his GIGANTIC contribution to the world of balisongs!! (or at least show some of his company's work!).
I hope that Bernard Levine says something, since apparently he helped write the book (or supply some info).
