The HHFSH --- Share Your Heart & I'll Share Mine

I'm not purist but I think this counts well kinda I believe it's actual a HOGFSH. I loved it so much I couldn't use it and that was a no go for me so I ended up trading her off. Great blade though for sure.

The best looking HHFSH out there is this one, belonging to River-8.

Where the F can I get one of those shirts? CRAZYAWESOME!!!

Thanks brother! I use the Wicked Edge Field & Sport Pro model plus several additional stones/strops. It takes a while to reprofile --- but when it's done -- nothing comes close

The WE will get the job done, but as you know it takes a LONG time. If you enjoy that kind of edge on ALL your knives and value your time, I recommend looking into getting a belt grinder of some sort. The Worksharp is popular, however a small, cheap 1"x30" or 2"x72" benchtop unit can easily get the job done with the right belts in a fraction of the time that it takes to get the same work done with the WE. Here is the best photograpic examples I have:

And to stay somewhat on-topic, ;) a few photos of a stripped and convexed HHFSH cousin:

My pair of NMFSHs shortly after receiving them around Christmas 2012:

No where near as nice as River-8's but this one has been my go to camp knife for a while now. She has seen her share of battoning. I am surprised at how well the coating is wearing.

Those edges look pretty damn sharp -- loving the NMFSH's but alas it is no HHFSH -- still a phenomena blade. I have a work sharp ko edition and a harbor freight 1 x 30 --- the problem is that it relies to heavily on user consistency. I've also noticed that with the Wicked Edge -- I can truly visually see what I'm doing as I'm doing it. Reprofiling takes a little too long -- but once the correct edge angle and bevel size is formed -- the rest is cakewalk. The sharpest I've ever gotten my knives with a belt grinder doesn't approach the level of consistent edge keenness that I get after stropping on balsa wood down to .5 micron. One more thing -- the mirror edges I get with the wicked edge are definitely more reflective -- all the while maintaining the V edge I want. Belt grinders micro convex -- which is cool if that's the edge you're going for. I don't know -- I'm just thinking out loud.

Here's my FSH collection with my HH with mags second from the left...

All still brand new...

Not to derail my own thread --- but the Infimandu looks extra special with a mirror polish

Obscene! I love it! That Flying variant second from right looks highly impractical but very beautiful. In fact both those snakes do. What thickness are they? Will you share any more pics with us?

Chris.

Thanks for asking.

Busse built these knives as MOASH variants. Proud to own them.

Here's some more photos of the Flying MOASH variant...

I'll take... THEM. :D ... On another note...I gotta apologize for it not being exactly a HHFSH.... But. Since it IS the original logo blade...

I HEART this blade!

One of these days I'll pick up a Steel Heart Ergo!! That's beautiful Timmy!

Good Morning Hogs,

I got a little "Light Hearted" with my knife -- the Heavy Hearts Fusion Steel Heart put me back in my place. :p

Rob I cut myself too just looking at that edge; posting these was irresponsible ;)
