The HI Kerambit

Mexican carry is where you just stick it in your belt. Goes for guns as well as knives.

It actually does work kinda well, if you have a tight enough waistband, and works better for autoloaders of course as they're flatter. To see an exaggerated (or I guess I should say typical) Hollywood example of this kind of carry supposedly working without a loaded 39 oz. semi-auto falling down past your waistband and boxers and into your sweats, check out the end of Pulp Fiction where Vincent and Jules are leaving the restaurant. Suppose that _could_ work for short distances but is not likely.

The classic problem with this kind of carry (other than the fact that you can't sit down with your gun "holstered") is with nimrods who "holster" their .45's with the grip safety pressed a bit and the slide safety wiped down and their finger on the trigger.

Woops! :footinmou No more cojones! At least you won't have the opportunity to breed any stupid children... ;) :D

Thanks, I didn't know that. I carried the old man's old Western hunting knife in my belt for years when we lived in Florida and beyond, from the time I was maybe 7-1/2 until I was 10.
I still think he had a death wish for me, either that or he didn't give a **** one way or another.
I might've let my son carry a fixed blade at those ages but NOT without a sturdy sheath to protect him as much as possible from the blade.
For the life of me I can't remember what happened too the knife. I do seem to recall the old stacked leather handle coming loose.
The old Western I got of my brother's when he walked West is still as tight as the day it was made.
I found it kind of interesting that Debbi found it in his truck instead of a gun.
I just can't imagine my brother carrying a knife for self defense. There was a lot about Jack that I didn't know and now I never will.
.

It'll be in the mail on Wednesday, Dan, if you like. :p :p

When it first came out, someone posted links to some videos of karambit tricks that were pretty cool. I'm sure someone remembers where....

Finished the kydex sheath; excellent, Dan! You're welcome to post pics... I look foward to receiving this "gardening tool"!

Isn't it originally an agricultural tool that has evolved into a martial art? Pardon my ignorance of things that I really should know about. I'll buy the next round
