The High Falls of the Cheat River

Near Elkins WV.

Actually you get to the High Falls 2 ways. One is a 4 mile hike over Shavers Mt and up some railroad tracks or you can go to Durbin and ride the Cheat Mountain Salamander in.

Ack! Stop it HD. You're killing me...

I've rode the Tygart Flyer and been to the Shavers Fork of the Cheat. This year will be the first in five years I won't make it to Bowden/Elkins.

I'm trying and might make it for a late season trip in September or October but things are tight right now.

That brings back some memories,it's been years(and years) since I did the Cheat.
Decision Rapids,the Canyon,the Narrows. :eek:

Just play around on the Slippery Rock now,great fun when it's up though.
