Choilless would be better, but would that make it a Vex?

Not even close - totally different handle, front talon hole, guard, palm swell on the handle, cutting edge in line with the handle rather than lower like on the vex, different point profile, etc etc etc. I EDC my Vex, and love it, but an anorexic choil free BOSS Street would be a totally different beast. And it would probably replace the Vex pretty quickly for most of my uses, because it would be different enough to be better for a lot of stuff I do, especially in the woods.

I agree that i could be thiner, but I'm not for thINFI, just regular thickness would be fine. Either way it'll be a while before I'd be able to afford one. Anyone wants to buy one one for me and sell it for factory price later on?

I was about to be a first time Busse owner, had really taken a liking to the Boss Street. I spent alot of time thinking about the choil...I really didnt like it but thought i could live with it. The last straw was when i found out about the blade thickness. Way too thick for my needs.

If there's ever released a thinner, choilless version im in.

"I could care less!!!" This statement simply says he cares but does not need to. How is this statement incorrect?

I have not voted. Although I would prefer the Boss Streets to be thinner I am not likely going to be able to afford purchasing another one and do not want to give the impression that a thinner release would be an instant sale. A more economical strategy might be to take the as designed knife, strip it, convex it and give it a nice satin finish. This would significantly reduce the stock thickness. For a user blade this might have a large negative effect on its resale value but if it is a user that should not be a large concern. If it is not a user then the blade thickness is pretty much a non-issue anyway.

I voted for the anorectic. I've already ordered the thick one and releasing the thinner version would be great excuse to buy another busse :D

If they are still up after I start my new job, I might buy one and do exactly that. I thought about even grinding one down to a saber and making it a lot thinner.

Just need to find a decent drill bit for drilling INFI, so I can skeletonize the handles while I have the slabs off

I have a feeling that I'm going to complete the mods on my cgboss street and a week later the anerexic choiless version are going to posted o_0

I voted YES for an anorexic BOSS Street.

I find myself grabbing my Rat Cutlery RC-3mil 90% of the time when I go to EDC a sub 4" fixed blade - this is ENTIRELY due to the .14" thickness of that blade.

If the BOSS came in .14" I would buy it in a heartbeat.

HUGE plus one to that. My RC-3 (with a usable choil, not some half finger elf monstrosity) is the only knife that challenges my Vex for EDC.

It must be the bama clay dust we're sniffing :D ;)

I guess a dream knife of mine would be the RC-3 in infi... (though I am a very big fan of good ol' 1095)

We can dream...can't we?

I agree wholeheartedly on the choil as well - give us something functional or just leave it out altogether.

Anyway, THIN IS IN!

EDIT: WOW! Just looked at the poll numbers and am blown away at the SIGNIFICANT interest in thin stock... 72% vs. 17% as it stands now - AWESOME!!!

Maybe this means we will get an anorexic MUK (and BOSS Street :D)!!!

That anorexic Boss and Muk would be a hell of a combo

I'd very much like to see a civilian EDC self defense knife. Something very much like the BOSS street, but with a more pronounced tip and a sharpened swedge, for inverse with the primary edge inwards. The existing thickness and weight would be cool, I think it would help pack a bit more ummph on a stab.

but for EDC utility, I agree that a thinner version of the BS ( BOSS street... get your mind out the gutter ) would be the way to go
