Being that no one in my family understands this situation I decided to make me feel better and tell this group. Here it is. Traveling on the I-76 near Akron Oh. Antique mall right on the interstate. We wheel in telling my wife that there may be some red transfer ware for her. In reality I am smelling pocket knives from a mile away. Bingo, !!!!!!!!!! many to look at and more to admire. I asked to not to happy worker to open up a case of many knives. He of course had to stand there and watch me, but was truly uninterested in my excictment of so many old pocket knives to look at. I had forgotten my goins book!!!! Something I rarely do as I purchase according to the tang stamps related to Pennsylvania as I am sure most of you know by now. Well, I found many great names that I had never seen before and couldn't look up. Hated that, but I did find a Queen City Titusville PA that was a somewhat unusual stamping. :D Many books do not show this stamp. They show it as the QueenCityCutlery Titusville, PA and not as I found. I didn't have one of these and it was slightly used which I like too. The price was a small at $30. A two blade congress with slick black handles. I know that if I had my book I would have found another. I wrote down some but had to get going unfortunately. Any ways, it was great fun and I added another trophy to my collection. :) I open up my knife rolls and admire the grouping and the history at least once a week. I also wanted to comment on the gentlemen that talked about instruments and collecting. I am a picker from way back, would love to sit on the back porch with a collector, play music, swap knive stories and watch the world go by. Thanks for letting me dream for just a moment. ;)

Antique stores/malls are funny. Most of the time, they have junk (probably because some Knife Shark beat me to the good 'uns). Then I stop at a mall and they have a VG Marbles Boy Scout Woodcraft -- for $25.00!!! :) Hope restored.
