I don't think I even made it through the first viewing of The Hunted.

I disagree, showing them hunt "deer" in the "hills" of Pittsburg my butt. They showed the darned Rocky Mountains with ELK. That really put a sour taste in my mouth. They try to make you believe that the area around Pitt is like that and the deer are actually Elk....WTF? I do like the Vietnam scenes but alot of it I could do without. I watch the movie all the way through one time just to give it a fare shake. I just didnt overall care for it.

As far as I know, Deer Hunter was filmed in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. I wasn't there.

The deer hunt was filmed here:

Mount Baker, Washington, USA
(Allegheny Mountains deer hunt)

and a few other scenes were filmed there.

IMDB gives the filming locals. I know I am nit picking. its just little things like that which would have taken very little effort to be correct as in ACTUALLY filming a deer hunt with deer in PA just leaves me annoyed. Its like saying your in Canada and filming it the Gobe Desert.

Yeah they were filmed in the cascades......Didnt much affect the story or power of the film, but it shouldve been done correctly. I believe they were supposed to be filmed in the Apalachians....

Still its one of my favorite movies ever, and one of the greatest movies ever made IMO. Deniro claims it as his best work ever. Thats a tough call for him!!

I love the scene about forgeting the boots.
