The "I got a new knife today!" thread....

Just saw MENSA in your reply ;)

well, I pushed button too much and I should not be editing thingies 1.30 am. I had to edit 2nd time simply because I lost a sentence when I added one. But still, even if mensa means stupid in mexan spanish, I don't see its relevance to MENSA any relvant simply because almost all languanges share common words... But on the otherhand I have never enjoyed Irony as it needs too much reading between lines unless its obivious... This is kinda derailing subject... Perhaps its best to get back on the topic. I am sure we can discuss etymologic co-incidences and more or less ironic means what same word has different languanges in other thread...

maybe its universal truth with different nyancés in different countries... But all geniouses are slightly insane... participating one MENSA meeting is enough to proove that... just remember to post pictures of your waved BM once its done ^^

I'm a member of a high IQ society that has the same criteria as MENSA (Mysterium Society- top 2 percentile) and I personally have a difficult time considering all of the members "geniuses" (myself included) based on some of the stuff I read in our discussion forums. The insanity part I might agree with.

In middle school, the admins had me evaluated after I got busted with a few firecrackers on campus. I thought the guy was just making sure I was/wasn't nutters. Had to do about 3 hours of tests. Years later my mom told me that the results of those tests put me at near genius.

Genius compared to what standard? What kind of tests are they?

I am a genius compared to my 6 year old sister...so

The psychiatrist gave me an hour of puzzle type tests, the usual Rorshack inkblots, word association with explanations of my choices, beyond that is a bit cloudy.

It sounds like a legitimate IQ test. IQ tests were originally used for psychiatric/psychological evaluations.

Yup, that test was almost 14 years ago.

I push my wife's buttons. :D

I can tell by her look.

If your gonna send that knife to Mike in the first place,IMO you'd be better off getting him to do the wave on it.That way it will at least have a chance at looking half decent.

He won't wave it but he will clean up my wave.

I don't blame him for not wanting to deface such a beautiful knife lol.
Thought it should look good after Snody smooths it out a bit.
Post Pic's when you get it back.

The Tenacious is a great little knife...I keep thinking of buying another one.

Spyderco may come out with another model made with a different steel, like S30V or VG-10, I keep hoping they will someday.

Ya that would be cool,a golden made Tenacious.

I took always great comfort "knowing" I was stupid. Then after few psychological tests psychologist say I am more intelligent than majority of people... So I am not stupid, I am just freakin' lazy... That shattered my world...

but I still deny results of those test. I am not lazy, just a simpleton person ^^

and back to the topic:

I got this little beauty 20 minutes ago CRKT Drifter Stainless Steel:
