Here's your chance to list all of your "wishes". If you've wished for a specific knife pattern that your favorite manufacturer doesn't make, post it or them here. Should be an interesting thread.

Here's mine....

I wish someone would make a 3 7/8" 2 blade trapper with a clip main and a sheepfoot secondary (Wharncliffe doesn't count).
I wish GEC would make a 3 3/4" single blade coke bottle pattern.
I wish Case would make a 3 3/4" Sway Back Jack.
I wish Canal Street Cutlery would make more patterns.
I wish Queen would make their 06 Teardrop pattern with a clip main, no liner lock.

- I wish GEC would make more of their popular patterns and a broader range of handle materials in stainless steel
- I wish Case would remember how they used to make that beautiful dark red bone

I wish the next SFO was the new GEC #38 pattern single spring with a sheep main and a caplifter/screwdriver at the other end. In antique yellow pickbone. Oh I'd be all over that!

Here are a couple of quick ones:

I wish GEC would make:

1) A big' ol Grandaddy Barlow, with a big spear blade, matchstrike long pull and a small sheep's foot, w/ african blackwood or horse cut bone
2) 3 3/4 -- 4" scout... needs a screw driver/ cap lifter... same aesthetics as above
3) a single blade Whaler, ez open, same pull and handle materials as listed above

pretty please...

I wish I was born into money so I could buy & fondle knives all day long... ;)

I also wish gec would make a coffin Jack & a single blade gunstock but a little larger than their 76 frame. Like a 77 gunstock.

I wish Buck still made the 317 so it wouldn't be a collector item and I could buy one to use instead of babying it because of how much its worth.

I wish someone made a 3¾ - 4" two-blade knife with equal sized sheepsfoot and clip/droppoint blades.

I wish GEC would make another run of Pembertons....and since they are a "coke bottle" pattern I'd like a fun, cola themed assortment like root beer, cherry cola, and lemon-lime jigged bone scales. Single clip blade with a long pull for me, please!

I wish Case would make a mini-trapper with a standard clip blade. RS

Ummm... Buck never made the 317. The 317 was made for Buck by Camillus and Camillus owned the tooling.

I wish Case would use the heat treat for 420HC developed for Buck by Paul Bos.

I wish I could get a Buck 110 with a carbon still blade and Ebony scales.

I know, I said "Buck" because everybody here knows that and it was the "Buck" 317; and since Buck now makes the 300 series then they would now be making the 317 in house as well. Just didn't feel like being perfectly exact when its never going to happen anyways. :(

The candy shop huh? :p
GEC #66 jack (clip and smaller sheepsfoot - same size of the stockman blade) in stainless.
Queen #51 with no half stops.
Opinel fixed blade (same design, or a kephart).
Victorinox alox cadet with scissors (colored versions as well).
More patterns from CSC and Buck.

Fausto

I wish GEC would make another run of the Irish Jack (2013 BF knife) with ebony scales and then another with tortoise shell acrylic. If they used a Wharncliff instead of a sheepsfoot it would be even better.

I wish you could get customized SAKs for a reasonable price. Colored alox should not cost 3 times what silver does.

I wish GEC would stop putting their nail nicks inside the swedge. Below or behind, please.

I wish more traditionals were available in beautiful grained wood, like Queen's curly zebrawood or GEC's spotted bocote.
Maybe some ironwood, koa or some of the burls, like ash, redwood, etc. Tight, small grain looks good on small covers.

I wish GEC would do more stainless runs. I happen to like elk stag, but some variety would be nice.

I wish Buck 300s had firmer springs and nicer cover materials like jigged bone or stag.
I've never had one I kept because the springs were all so weak, and delrin leaves me cold.

I wish Case would upsize their 2-blade peanut, the quintessential peanut, with the clip's nick straddling the "peak,"
and using the TJ's zulu pen for the secondary. 3⅝ to 3¾ closed length would be perfect.

I wish my name would come up on Bret's list while I can afford it. The last two times my name came up I had to pass due to financial difficulties. :(

I wish GEC or Case would make a regular production Coffin jack and Lanny's Clip.

Lot of scope for a theatre of dreams this:thumbup:

I wish CASE would do their Penknife in something other than just Yellow D. Others (Böker or GEC) can do very nice dark Redbone but why not you???

When will GEC do some tip-bolstered knife??

Their new 38 as single blade and stainless offerings please!!!

Swell End 3.5" small bolstered knife with swedged Spear, Sheepfoot and Clip as choice from ANYBODY please.

Some honey coloured jigged bone, nothing dark....

A Norfolk with a long Master blade.

Any single-spring knife with properly long Master for that matter.

Queen to bring back Zebrawood and some of their older ACSB or WCSB.

Queen to reissue the Heritage range with decent QC......

That's enough for now but I'll dream up more:D:D

Regards, Will

I wish GEC would do some Bullnoses is premium handle choices. Let's go for some wood, some dyed bone, maybe even a stag....ah... if only to dream:)
