We all know a knife is a very vital tool. So why is a knife so important? Is it because our ancestors long ago used their stone knives to survive? Is it because we use it on a daily basis to help us in the world today? What makes a knife so important to you?
'cause it sucks not to have one when you need it. I fly a lot and it is a pain to open a clamshell pack or slice a banana with your teeth. Yeah, you can just eat a banana, but I like mine sliced first.
Because it's primal; it's in our DNA everyone on this site feels the same way about campfires and building your own for that matter.... fire was our first self provision of light warmth and cooking..... the knife was our first skilled way to protect our families; kill and provide and make all of the tools that followed.... it's the same exact bond most of us have with our dogs the relationship is thousands of years old and a knife and the feel of it in your hand is empowering just as it was thousands of years ago....
