The sheath is actually kind of genuis, GFN where it's needed, soft plastic where it's needed. Cold Steel could take notes, but something tells me they won't.

Is sk5 a decent steel vs aus 10a?

Well given that a dude has tested CS' SK5 and it didn't really match the prescribed formula of SK5 (keep in mind, sample size of 1, possible flaws in testing) there's the possibility that SK5 CS uses isn't really 1085 with a little phosphorus but rather a different formula. Again, nothing can be confirmed by a single test, and I don't want to get sued for slander so this is only opinion and certainly not verified. But SK5 might not really be SK5 lol.
Either way, AUS-8 is crazy tough and AUS-10a is probably only a little less tough, so I would consider AUS-10a superior is almost every practical metric except sharpenability. But again, AUS-10a isn't exactly a tough customer to get sharp.
