The itch to buy came up and I got the BM 710

Kohai, do you conceal it in your waistband or can you see the top. Do you tuck your shirt in? Just curious.

I am looking for a new way to carry my Manix with jeans so I can still use both pockets.

How accessible is your knife in your waistband? I fear I may get looks if I pull out a concealed knife from under an untucked shirt.

Do you have any suggestions?

You can just see the top if I am wearing a t-shirt.

I wear nice Hawaiin shirts to work, so I am ALWAYS pulling a knife out of a concealed location. My experiences are that, in the workplace, if you are an "ambassador for the responsible use of cutlery":o you won't get strange looks if you come out with a "normal knife" for use.

Accessiblity is the best of all possible methods, as is retention and minimizing the possibility of the "bad guy" taking it from you, or even knowing that it is there.

I used to carry in my back pocket, with the clip showing. Well, not only did it hang up and "chew" the heck out of chairs, but one of my coworkers thought it would be funny to "liberate" it from me.

That was the last time that I carried in my back pocket.

I love the 710. Of the group of expensive knives that I own, including Protechs (5), Microtechs (10), Blue Benchmades (13), H&K (4), Kershaw (5), Pierces (3), Camillus, (3), Daltons(4), AB leverlocks (5), Leverlettos (2) Bokers (3) Gerbers (4) a Mikov, a S&W a Maserin, a MCusta demascus, AKC Stilettos (5) and an assortment of Taiwan pieces, I carry the 710 or one of the Scarabs. Mine is a D2 and will glide through paper like butter thanks to the sharpsmaker. The knife opens as fast as anything I own and most are automatic, has an imposing practical blade and stays razor sharp for a long time. As you can imagine, I love this knife. It is a true classic.
