I have 7 of the larger Spyderco models. I've got the bug and will be getting more as I find them. I'm a big guy and therefore prefer the larger knives. My daughter saw my modest knife collection and noticed that I had more than just a couple of Spyderco's. Yesterday I received a package in the mail and when I opened it I found this little Spyderco knife from my daughter. It is a Dragonfly and will have to say I am quite impressed with this littler beauty. Super light, smooth opening and I can see that I will have a lot of uses for it. I'm so impressed with it that now want some of the other "Itty Bitty Spydies"!

Welcome to the wonderful world of little big knives, and enjoy the trip (all your money departing :D )

Small knives which can handle big jobs are a specialty of Spyderco, and no one does it better. Try a Cricket, the weird looking reverse S blade cuts like a demon. I have found no other blade shape better for opening the clamshell packaging you find everywhere these days.

i have an older dragonfly in FRN and G-2 that i got in about '94-don't know what year it was manufactured, only that it has no boye dent and an integrally molded FRN clip. i have put no knife through as much abuse as that one, and she still works like the day i got her.

to me they are. how much smaller do the get. I usually dont carry anything with less than a 3" blade.

get a ladybug i have a black plain edge one with the locking dent (you either like the dent or you don`t) and i have a CE OD one on the way . they look very cool on your keyring too i also have a Toad and a copilot coming

I'm also looking very closely at a Lava too.
I already have a Native III. That was the 1st Spyderco I bought.

Spyderco in my opinion truly is the king of little knives. Their line up of small knives is even more impressive that most other company's main line knives.

And they are not confined to only 2 or 3 models either. Quite the contrary they have a nice selection of small folders. They even have a couple of small fixed blades that would make any company envious. Two of the small fixed blades that are simply works of art are the SPOT and the SWICK.
