The "I've never owned a custom knife but want one" giveaway

Awesome give-away! I don't qualify, but I sure wish I did:D That sure looks like a nice piece!

On another note, Big Mike, if you don't stop putting up pics that have always got as least 1, if not more, knives that I just have to have, I'm gonna...

GO BROKE:p

What's that Bowie looking knife with the saber handle, 2nd from the left on the front log? Looks pretty good from this angle!

I don't have any customs, but does 9 Busse's qualify for disqualification (it isn't 10!)? :D

What a generous give away, good on you bro.

Well I bought a Brian Andrews a month or so ago, but I don't have it in my possession right now because Talfuchre is making me a sheath... does that count???? :D

Considering that Brian is in my top 5 favorite makers, I'd say you are out! :p But you will love that knife for sure

Black Micarta, 1095 steel and one of the handiest sheaths I've used.

I've started to hang around here more trying to learn as much as I can. I guess you could say that most of my time on Bladeforums is spent here. If I qualify, I would like to take part.

I'll take #904.

Thanks for doing this.

Very cool contest and mighty nice of ya to do so. I admittedly don't post in WSSS much so I'll disqualify myself.

For the record, I have two customs, a $65 GL Drew and a $40 Scott Hartman. :D

Very generous offer on a good looking knife.Im on here 90% of the time I'm on this forum, I don't have a custom but have been trying to get up the financial cojones for one. Maybe I'll get lucky instead.--I'll take 633.thanx--KV

If I may, I would like 376

This is amazingly generous of you. By way of qualifications:

1. On my word, I have not ever owned a custom knife, or any super high-enders like Busses, Barkies, etc. The only "barkie" I own is a mixed boxer/pitbull named Shakti. Much like Pres. Jimmy Carter, I have lusted, in my heart, for many a custom blade, including Christof and Sierra's work. Presently, I have a kid in college, so I do the best I can with some aging SAKs, a Wally World special Ozark Trails fixed blade, a Gerber hatchet, a gerber folding saw and a Buck 110.

2. I mainly hang out here in W&SS, although I have been known to throw a few posts on the multi-blade forum and the ax and hatchet forum. 95% of my posts are here and 100% of what I learn is from fellow WSS'ers.

3. I will use the knife. I will really really use the knife. I will post about using the knife. I will even sleep with it under my pillow if that counts.

I take daily walks with Shakti in the wood lot behind our house. It is there that I practice wood gathering, shelter building and fire laying (building but not lighting). The knife will be used for woods walking and my new hobby of carving whistles.

As tempting as it would be to sell it to buy a text book for our son, I am entitled to something for me once in a while and will keep the knife. No need to take the time and trouble to "come to your house and light a bag of dog doo on your doorstep" Shakti took care of that many times over.

Thank you TKnife and good luck to all contestants!

Walt, that knife is a Bark River Custom Prototype “Special Bowie”, one of a dozen made is 2004.

As you can see that wide fuller pays homage to the Marbles “Ideal”.

ill take 666 if it isnt taken yet...my highest end knife is probably a fallkniven f1 and if that keeps me in the game then enter me

I know I am new here to the forums, but this is where I hang out at when I am here. No customs. If I qualify please put me down for #223.
Thanks

This is an awesome giveaway...I'd like #428 please. I agree to all the rules/requirements and if I get it it's gonna replace the $10 mossberg I've been using as my daily carry for horseback riding.

I'd like to jump in on this, too. The only knives that I have are a BK-2, an old Buck 112 and a Buck Cadet slip-joint (oh, and an old Shrade Old Timer). There's no way I have been able to buy a custom knife, but I'd sure like to try one.

I'll take number 648.

Thanks!

I've never been able to even THINK about owning a custom knife. It's a very generous thing you're doing, sir! I'll take #117 if you don't mind. :o

I'm in! I'm almost too embarassed to tell you the knives I own, but I will promise that I don't own any customs (Unless you count the Old Hickory Skinner I turned into a Nessie with a hacksaw and a bastard file). :(

I'll take 500 if it's not taken.

If I qualify I would like #389. I dont have any customs, and while I rarely post anywhere this is where i spend most of my time.

My best knife right now is a Buck 119.
