hello ladies and gentlemen.ive been wanting to do a give away for awhile to show my appreciation for all the good folks and the shared knowledge present on the porch.
My girlfriend and i will be moving sometime in the next couple months and i know i wont have funds for quite awhile so i knew i had to do something quick.

I was browsing the big auction site and stumbled upon some new old stock imperial peanuts and decided that some forum members could certainly use them.

So heres what youll get if you win

Ive got 5 knives to give away, each will also come with a p38 and a sears 4 way keychain screwdriver.

Id also like to mention that although these knives are technically new, theyre likely around 30 years old. They were effectively made as throwaway knives. Shell handles, super thin blades. Having said that, theyre slicers and all of them are actually still suprisingly sharp. Imperial knew how to make good steel and these are no exception.

A couple of these knives have minor pepper spots. And ive done nothing to them but remove the gunked up oil in the pivots and reoil them.

The only stipulation for this giveaway is

Please be a regular here. I dont post much, but i do read this forum every day. You may be the same, so im not going to dictate post qualifications

Heres a couple more pics for size comparison. The case peanut is there for scale only

This is not an entry, but I just want to say what a wonderful thought this is for a give away. Good luck to everyone!

I've never had a peanut, so I am in. Thank you for the generosity.

I can't help but think that one of these could be a good first knife for my daughter, since she is already very into my knives. She is probably going to be like I was as a kid and lose all the ones that she gets when she is still little. She'll probably be ready for a sharp one in a few years. An old Imperial would be a good learning knife I think.

Excellent giveaway. Not an entry as I need to do a little more giving.

Not an entry. Just want to say that I love this giveaway. I think Carl will appreciate it!

Thank you all. I got my first peanut avout a year ago and it was a huge revelation knowing that such a small knife is all i really need. Hopefully some other people will enjoy having a smaller knife like i do

It probably would. These knives have a very light pull too, easy for little fingers to get open. Good luck!

I only have had 2 peanuts; one belonged to the grandfather of my wife and I'm scared to carry it for fear of losing and a Rough Rider I bought to give away.

I'd love a chance at this neat little knife (I'm on the auction site now looking for similar actually).

Like you, I don't post a lot but browse and read several times a day.

Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to all.

I'd love a chance, I'm in. Although I may pass it on myself, if that is alright with you. ;)
Thanks, Neal

Of course I don't mind! In fact I'm honored that you are having a very nice giveaway in my name. I'm always in favor of anything that will further the case for small jackknives and P-38's and Sear's 4-way keychain screw drivers. We can discuss the licensing of my name, percent of royalties, and other fees later. ;)

:D:D

As far as royalties are concerned, i do have a couple extra p38s and sears 4 ways if youd like a couple:D

I try not to enter more than one GAW at a time, but I don't have an Imperial peanut and I don't have one of those can openers, so please count me in.
Thanks for the chance.

I'm definitely in , thanks 👍
I don't yet own any peanuts ( not counting the jar of dry roasted planters on my counter 😁 ) I love the shell construction imperials because they're so lightweight and the blades are super thin & slicey.
BTW here's a picture of to of my most favorite edc's ( both imperials of course )

What a cool idea for a GAW, and a nice homage to the guy whose writings were instrumental in drawing me into this forum. Please count me in.

What a great idea for a giveaway! I have an "addiction" to traditionals and visit this forum daily, though only occasionally post. I really enjoy Jackknife's short stories and of course his use of the 'nut, P-38 and 4-way Craftsman driver, so count me in on this very generous GAW!
