The jackknife starter kit- GAW over winners announced!

What a great idea fishcakes - a wonderful gesture honoring a member who approaches superhero status here on the forum. He's taught many here the usefulness of a small knife being fully up to the job for 90% of pocket knife tasks.

PS: Don't forget to throw in a pipe! :D

Really nice idea for a giveaway :) I'm tempted, but it's better that someone else wins, so not an entry please. Good luck everyone

Please count me in. I carried a bunch of those Imperials growing up and still love em.
Thanks for the chance

I also unfortunately cant supply the mini flashlight, but i figure its a good starting point. Haha

So is that an entry or no? :D

Fishcakes is doing a good job with supplying the basic major components of the jackknife edc kit. Small pocket knife, P-38, and Sear's 4-way is a great start. Below is the full daily jackknife load of pocket stuff, not including old flip phone I am still using.

Thank you!

Well instead of the small fenix flashlight, ive got a maratac right angle one. Works great for when i need both hands.

I wish i could fit a bandana in my pockets, but i just dont have the room. Between phone, keys, wallet, water bottle, flashlight, my ecig and the venerable peanut, all stuffed into a pair of 30/30 jeans, even on weekends im full up.

I'd love to be in but I certainly won't be offended if I don't meet "regular" status yet. I have read pretty much everyday for at least the last several months. I finally stopped lurking so much and have been posting more often.

I've never had a peanut although I love reading stories posted on here. Also, the Sears 4-way reminds me of my dad as he always had one on his keychain (still does). I never thought to go look to see if they were still being made. That would be very cool to have.

Thanks for the GAW.

Not in but a great GAW! I have an Imperial barlow and like it much, but imho peanuts are too small in my hand. And I've already received a P38 and Sears multi, curtesy of R Redden :D.

Come on man, youve been part of the forum since 2006. Of course you qualify. To boot, youve almost all your posts are in the traditionals forum. Plus, the porch is a place where ive noticed you can almost always take people at face value. If you say you read here alot, then you do. Simple as that

Also, yes. The 4 ways are still around, though ive noticed that sears headquarters seems to only ship them out to stores once or twice a year so they can be scarce. Not sure why, theres certainly a demand for em

I'd like to enter, please! Nice tribute to Carl, who's contributed so much to the character of The Porch!:thumbup:
Kind of ironic that I've carried one of those Sears 4-ways for MUCH longer than I've carried a pocket knife. :o
I'm very interested in a shot at an old Imperial; I LOVE those old folders! :D Here are some I currently have:

Not an entry but thank you for hosting this generous GAW and good luck to all the participants.

Nice!!!! I'm in. I just recently discovered the value of the humble peanut. So very tiny, but oh soooo very useful.

Those are some awesome knives! Thanks for the pics

Not an entry but what a thoughtful giveaway! I am a relatively new peanut devotee and I have no doubt your gifts will convert a few more.

UPDATE!

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of AlwaysTomboy, one out of the five winners will also receive an i3e eos mini aaa flashlight.

Heres a pic of what the luckiest of the lucky will get
