1464 D2 Impact Combat, grippy and handy micarta handle, sturdy 6" D2 blade, quite decent sheath.
Missed these when they were available and missing one now.

Yes the Ka-Bar we all think of a USMC Leather stacked, nice choice as that was my grail Ka-Bar 1 of 110 only made Blue Blade Gold etch stacked Leather Handle, Only seen 1 other in 5 years and was very Lucky to have acquired 1 from ex Ka-Bar employee and eventually a bunch of 1 of a kinds also, This my Grail as my Uncle had all the yearly Collector Knives except the last one as his order was late told him not to worry I would hunt it down for him only regret got it 1 month after he past.

That's a really fine looking collection.

Would make a good centre piece
Or at the very least a must have for one

My oldest is from the late 40's.....looks like it was used to scrape tank treads.....no red spacer either....

All is very well now. Before....not so much.....

The $1,000 E W Stone knife is a blasphemous bastardization of an icon. Only wealthy bikers and bi polar doom fetishists that dont know anything about knives would buy it. For that same $1,000 I could buy some grails such as the original spear point Bob Dozier full size fighting knife from the late 80's(?)and have more than enough left over to have a USMC pattern full size fixed blade custom made for me from nearly any steel I desire. So my grail is a higher grade tool steel 7 inch blade USMC pattern, half guard, jimping on top, handle shape matching full tang, the pommel would also be forged out of the same piece of tool steel as the rest of the knife, the handle would be either very high grade G10 or linen micarta fashioned in the same shape as stacked leather, nice finger choil at the end of the blade.

Then I would likely still have enough left over for a solid condition "red spacer" WW2 original

I'm not much of a fetishist so I'll stick with an original RBK or one of the new ones. Either way I'd beat it like it stole something. LOL!!!
 
..have two 1464's. Came across both by pure chance. Both are in like new condition. They are some of the best fixed blade knives I have ever handled D2 to boot.
 
Ka-Bar is still going to make this (hint hint!) - a D2 Extreme, leather stacked handle with a plain edge blade!
