The Kelly Knife from Breeden

Either the Kelly or Pathfinder would make great passaround blades, IMO.

Any in hand shots of the Kelly?

It really looks like a winner, a no-nonsense field blade that would do a lot of camp work.

Here is an extra.

I like that one like 100% more than the others.

The handle looks more rounded.

The blade is in line with the handle.

The notch in the handle is not too extreme.

The handle is nice and rounded, maybe not as much as the handle you did on that nice Gossman but close. You fat handle lovin bastard!

That doesn't look like a full flat grind to me though:confused:

I see a secondary bevel there:thumbup:

It's sort of reminiscent of this one by Charlie May

More natural tinder tests with the spine and BHS.

Came from a Paineira/Chorisia speciosa (ceiba del brasil).

Bear that stuff looks really light and fluffy. Just perfect for striking your hot
spark into it to start a fire. Does it burn up fast like cattail or a little slower
like cotton, thistle down or milk weed? I use the last three the most here
in Nebraska I really like thistle down that I find on old dead stalks of thistle
it is just as good as cotton I think. I even mix in some vasiline with it and
it burns just awesome.

Hey Bryan it burns up just like cattail, a flash ignition. Let me see if I can find some more pictures. of the stuff.

Very nice, very practical knife. It looks a lot like my wife's favorite knife to use in the kitchen, the 4.5" utility knife.

Keep in mind this style handle with the hollow pins are an option and prefered by Bryan.
These pictures were taken by Jeff H, this is his with hollow pins. Mine has solid pins.

I really like the hollow tubing for the pins too. Jeffs review over at knife forums
was pretty well writen up and Jeff seems to do some serious cutting with knives
as the testing he did and talks about. For less than a $100.00 for a hand made
knife that is pretty good. I am starting 3 more this morning and possibly a
fourth just waiting to confirm a different blade shape. If it is a go this new one might
be called the (S.S.P).LOL I can not give out the name yet until it is confirmed.

Bear that stuff looks like it would go pretty quick. (Flash up)

Bryan

Thats right folks you read about it here first. The S.S.P.
(Spooky Spear Point ) has been confirmed and is going to
be a new design in the Breeden Hand Made Knives line up.
Thanks to SpookyPistolero :D more details will be given
later, but for now here is a sneak peak.

Price is still going to be under $100.00 and it comes with a
leather sheath.

Take care,

Bryan
