The King of the Doubles is William!

There are a lot of nice examples here but I would have to say these have to be my favorites...

As you can tell I'm partial to the regulars.

Now, if I had to pick one pair out of these it would be the pre production pair that stjames posted.

I vote for Fooj's pair, just a great combo we will never see again.

I vote for MVG. That river of fire with Syringa inlay. Well, I'm left speechless. One day I hope, one day.

Okay wow some great knives entered aswell as some great stories. It is unbelievable how much emphasis we put on grail knives when in most cases it really comes down to the journey each crk goes on with us. Williams story was truth to that statement. I calculated the winners yesterday but did not come up with any clear winner on the king. I did random.org the winner for the voters and that is Coiledwire. So we have a tie for the king between William and stjames. So we are going to do a 24 hour run off. You only can vote for stjames or William and everybody can recast their vote. Good luck!

Ok, this is a tough call.. William's story is without a doubt IMHO very inspirational and shows what kind of folks we have here on this Forum. I know that my own experience here has shown me that when it comes to "This Thing of Ours" that is Chris Reeve Knives there are not a better group of people. I have made many friends here from all over the world. The US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Italy and even my old stomping grounds Alaska!! and as I said this is a tough call.. Because number one it is not all about these knives that we all love.. Its also about the people we meet and interact with here. But the contest is about The King of the Doubles and I have to go with what I think are the best knives entered in the competition. I cast my final vote for Jim's pair of Pre-Production "Regular" Sebenzas not only are they Beautiful they must be very very rare indeed.
All the best to everyone who took the time to enter!! There are no losers here!!

I vote for VVilliam. Not "ebony and ivory"... but more meaningful on a personal level.
Salud.

Wow! I can't believe I won; it so my luck not to. :D Big thanks to AKWILD for offering this contest. I'll have to repay this good fortune to the community.

For the re-vote, stjames.

I need to make clear that those PP knives belong to our friend in China, Hope1967. He has an amazing collection and I thought they should be shown off in this thread.

I would like to bow out at this time and congratulate everyone on the fine knives we all got to enjoy in this thread!

I nominate this pair owned by Hope1967

My own personal Grails.

And with that we have our winners! First off special thanks to everyone that participated and an extra thanks to stjames. So the winner is a huge crk brother that truly deserves to win! Congratulations William.

Oh man, Thank you everyone who participated! You all have such fantastic knives. I feel honored to be a part of this comunity of great and friendly people. The crk greace will get plenty of use. One of my favorite things to do is take down my knives, clean, service and lube them up. Thanks again to AK for being so generous by holding the contest!
