Thanks everyone.

I haven't had a new model for a year... I have worked on this design for 11 months now, and I am really happy with how it turned out.

My goal was to go beyond the PSK and create a knife that could be used for backpacking and hiking, would have a thumb ramp, a lower guard, solid ergonomics, but still be a relatively small footprint. I started with the PSK and went from there...

I ended up with the Kinzua The name comes from a dam in north central PA... southern NY, as well the Kinzua Viaduct, two beautiful place. My wifes (93 year old) grandfather has a hunting cabin in the area, so we are familiar with it.

OAL is 7 5/8, and cutting edge is 3 1/4. Stock is 1/8.

Knife weighs 5.7 ounces by itself and 6.7 ounces with sheath.

These A2 knives are heat treated, cryogenically treated, triple tempered, and tested to guaranteed Rc of 59-60 by Peters of Meadville, PA.

The kinzua comes with a kydex sheath set up for small tek lok.

Kinzua's are $129 each, MO, Paypal, CC, etc are fine. Shipping FREE Conus, I will ship internationally at cost.

I have one small tek lok left and more on order that should be in next week...they would be $10 extra.

Thanks for looking, John

If you are interested, please mention handle material in this sale thread.

Thanks, John.

Looks like a winning design!

Am I right to assume that the ones fitted with screws can have their handles removed/replaced by just unscrewing them?

Thanks Woodgood!

Sure you can take the handles off. You would just need to make a new set handles. These were all hand made, as usual :)

I really like the look of the silver screws with the orange G10!!!
I think that is a GREAT look ;).

Thanks, John.

being the proud new owner of one of your PSK knives I cannot say that I have buyers remorse but I am seriously contemplating the purchase of a kinzua and sincerely hope that you will contact me when you do your next batch as I would really like to have one. I would do it today but alas I try not to buy more than one knife per week, it keeps my marriage much happier.
