I've been working on this one for over a year now. Forged and finished from 1084 with Ironwood and Ivory Paper Micarta.

I don't think I'll make something again like this for a long time; for me, it was a pretty challenging piece :)

Don, I sure hope that statement isn't true - regardless of how much of a challenge this was, it's an absolutely stunning piece, and it'd be a shame if it didn't have some siblings (perhaps just a pinch smaller!).

STUNNING. Really - perfect execution!

Wow! Keeping something that long and thin straight is tough. Beautiful work!

Thanks guys. Keeping this thing straight was interesting to say the least...

Here's a reference picture:

Wow Don you aren't kidding that thing is a sword. Beautiful work though perfect for sushi or a side of beef :D

That avocado doesn't stand a chance..............

Stunning work Don and DISTINCTIVELY a Don Nguyen design which is hard to do these days and a spectacular thing in this day and age of knifemaking.

I can't add much that the others haven't already. Your work is clean and aesthetically pleasing Don. Love it!

It's obviously as large as it is to allow Don to easily slice the cactus for dinner without getting near the spines.

You never know when a Ninja is going to surprise you. Its good to be prepared, even when cooking.

Outstanding! That must have been tricky...

The white micarta is just too cool, excellent overall package. Keep up[ the great work!
