I just joined yesterday so there's a ton of stuff that I need to learn I know. I looked for a new members thread but I couldn't find one. I'm sure there's one around here somewhere.
Anyway I stumbled upon this forum yesterday doing research on Kershaws and I saw a blur that I wanted that was for sale.
Of course it didn't take me long to realize that I couldn't private message anyone without a paid subscription here. I get that and I respect it.
To get around that I left a message on his profile page and said an "I'll take it" in his for sale thread.

Then a helpful gentleman posted that the knife was already sold.
I appreciate that he did that, but my question is how did he know it was sold? I'm still learning my way around this site and I know that things are different from forum to forum, but I didn't see anything that made that clear. Is there an icon that is slapping me in the face that i am overlooking that indicates an item is already sold? I want to continue looking but don't want to get interested in knives that are already sold.
Thanks for your help.
