I posted a couple years back that I would let you guys see the knife that I sent with my brother when he went to Iraq. The blade is 5160 and is 5 1/2" long and has been etched. The handle is black micarta, and the fixtures are brass. It has a grey leather sheat that turned just tan enough in the wax to match his camo, but I didn't get a picture of it. Sorry it took so long guys and thanks for all of the help that I've found here over the years.

I dont see any pins?
Is it a sub-tang ? did you use a block of Micarta or slabs for a full-tang knife?

And it served him well:thumbup:

Alan, it is a hidden tang and I shaped a block of micarta on the grinder. I drilled holes in the tang to make "glue pins" but I wanted to add as little possibly flashy material as possible. The only reason it has a butt cap is cause I knew he would use it for hammering stuff with it. Thanks for looking.
