The Knife(s) You Regret NOT BUYING

I had the chance to buy a real Loveless back in the 70's for a couple hundred. It would be worth thousands today.
 
I regret not buying a 635 mini-skirmish...man...
and a Switchback....

a first gen spec bump in cpm154...
a ken onion forum bump...

my life is full of regret lol
 
Great Eastern Cutlery #72Ebony Wharncliffe lockback... and BF 2009 Forum knife. I still rergret deeply not getting them.

GP knives sells 710's for that much; they're the cheapest authorized place I know of for Benchmades and Zero Tolerance. They give you a coupon code to use to bring the price below MAAP pricing. And the best part is, I can tell you this without it being deal spotting because they're a Bladeforums dealer.
 
A Randall throwing knife that a guy dug out of the ground near an old tree. It was in decent shape and the price was right. I passed because I didn't have the cash.
 
Kershaw Volt - I was able to get a blem but it would have been nice to get one of the few production models that came out ok.

Para 2 CF/S90V - had my hands on it at my local B&M store and passed. Called a week later to buy it and it was gone.
 
I wish I'd taken the chance to buy myself an ESEE-DPX HEST. I was going to before last summer, to take with me on my trip to peru.
in the end I didn't, only to return to find they where out of stock, then discontiuned......:(
 
I was at Case outlet a few years back and they had a Case USMC for forty dollars. I had the Kabar USMC , so didnt buy it. The Kabar has since been stolen and now the Case is 80 bucks.
 
Any of the Elisehwitz designed knives from Benchmade such as the Darkstar or Sentinel. Also, another BM 690 and 730CFHS.
 
I skipped out on a Busse Badge Attack when I first started thinking of purchasing one.
I was the first to view the add and I decided to look around and compare prices.
I then realize 200$ is a hell of a deal and it's already been sold.. (obviously)
 
I was at a gun show found a nice, well thought out but unsigned custom knife with a lot of age and little use. He wanted $35.00 for her, I passed her up.
Yesterday I got a copy of Frank Towsley's New book about Ruana Knives from the 1930's to today, "The Hammer Still Rings", he has literally hundreds of photos of old and new Ruana knives. In the book I found a photo of one of those knives signed by Rudy made in the early 40's.

For some reason Rudy had not signed this knife, she was worth 100's maybe more. I knew the knife was special, but unless we study our markets carefully great ones can get away from us.

The book is brand new and not on the general market yet, had I had read that book before the show that knife would be in my collection today.
 
A Spyderco Meerkat sprint was in my hands and I chose to get a Kershaw Rake instead. I didn't know the Meerkat was a sprint run.
 
Hinderer XM-18 non-flipper w/orange rescue scale at $385. 2 were posted for sale just when I logged in and while I wondered if I would like the non-flipper they were jumped on - I felt like a dummy for passing up on an outrageous flash sale. :(

I hear you on the SR-1 my friend. Except I kick myself all the time for not jumping on Gianni's introductory deal while they were still in the designing phase. The were offered for atleast $100 off the current price if I remember right!
