What did you use your knife for recently? Just post a photo of your knife at work, or its accomplished mission: beer bottle opening, wood carving, food prep, whatever.
Here's my favorite, a Mora 2/0 doing some spoon carving.
I like your thread so here's me going to town with my Cold Steel.
Note the mellon knife next to it on the cutting board. The significance is that when I got the mellon knife it was fairly sharp from the maker, shaved some what as I recall but the stock bevel was so obtuse it simply would not cut a fresh roll. I could just slide the blade back and forth, back and forth and nothing. Not until I put the 'bagger bevel on 'er ( much shallower angle (and polished)) that it became a roll slicing monster.
Annnnnnnnny way the whole point is that the Cold Steel Hold Out One easily sliced rolls, and frighteningly so, from day one; no bevel change.
Wowbagger . . . saving the world with his Hold Out . . . one roll at a time.
Its hideous
It is all wet and dripping with some sort of thick oooze.
It seems to have been singed by some fiery hell but still living
its huge ! It is all I see
Im out of here.
BUT WAIT
I have my trusty Cold Steel Hold Out One
Im going back in for the kill.
Thrust
Parry
Thrust
Parry THRUST Got em !
Oh
not to worry.
Now that I have some perspective it is just one of my HUMONGOUS honey cinnamon crescents that they make locally here.
In the past I had a hard time subduing one then one day the Hold Out was added to my arsenal.
Now its a piece of cake.
PS: see . . . you should never have got me started.
