The knife you keep buying

I keep getting drawn to the #66 framed GEC knives. I have 2 Calf Ropers so far and a Serpentine Jack. :)

I buy mostly Case peanuts but the occasional trapper makes its way into the rolls. I guess I could be said to collect Kershaws as well but I put them into duty as my work knives err um when I worked that is.

Don't lose knives, and all the knives I have can't see not lasting a lifetime with care. But there is a brand I keep trying to avoid but always come back to, SPYDERCO. From all my folders I have owned from 400 dollar down to 40 I keep coming back. There is just nothing to complain about if you want a tough high quality knife that performs, carries and is priced extremely well. Whenever I try to move on they come out with a new model or steel and they never lack in quality. I think this is because they are a company that listens to their customers and keeps up with the times. I do wish they would ease off the spydie hole when it is not necessary for certain models (flippers, fixed blades).

I've got the Benchmade 710 in:

D2
Ats-34
154-cm
M2HS
M390
CPM-M4

( if Benchmade would just do a run in ELMAX )

I've also now got three AG Russell Acies's. Those two knives may come as close to an ideal EDC folder as I'll ever be able to find.

PM2's! I think I found the knife that all others in my collection will never live up to..

Spyderco UKPKs. I have owned The Drop Point Foliage Green G-10, the Leaf Blade Foliage Green G-10, the Rescue Orange G-10, a Drop Point Grey FRN. I let the Leaf Blade go, and regret it now. Looking at picking up one fo the new flat ground Leaf Blade FRN UKPKs to replace it. Big part of it is being in the UK, but I really like the design. I still want a Titanium, a Carbon Fiber, and an orange leaf blade (put the rescue's handles on my drop point, but I would like a "natural" orange one). I like the Squeak too and plan on getting a few, even the pink one, but especially the orange one when it comes out finally.

Opinels. First it was the biggest folder they made (the No. 12), then I wanted the smallest with a virobloc (the 06), then I decided I needed an 08 Carbone, after that one I went with an Inox 06. I found out recently they had colored handles, and there was a blue 07 that really caught my eye, then my Mom got me a 06 Luxe for my B-day, and I'm currently looking at the 1890, reproduction. I just can't quite em' they're too inexpensive not to try em' all.

I got my Opinel No. 8 with ebony handle the other week. Wow! Beautiful knife with polished blade. Too nice to EDC :D

Now I just placed an order now for a carbon No. 8 and a No. 8 with Bubinga scales. These Opinel models will be put into my EDC rotation

Big Barkies are my weakness.

At first it was some of their big Bowies.

Lately it's the Grasso Bolos.
