Cristof and I got to talking, I hope he doesn't mind me sharing, and I he wanted a capsule to carry some possibles in his vest that was water proof and would not crush easily. I told him I could put something together like my match case and we could work out a trade (actually I asked for some nude photo's of sheep - if I remember correctly).

Here is the first day's work.

Exterior is 1.000 in diameter - Interior is .9000 in diameter and 3.000 deep. The cap is 1/2 tall. The cap has some weight taken off and is recessed for something additions (maybe one PJ soaked cotton ball. It is double o-ringed and will be set with a compass in the top.

I normally simply bore that portion out - but because I am always working with scrap material - I was forced to do this backwards - I will simply plunge cut it on the mill soon. I also have to cut the bottom for a lanyard hole and get it anodized.

Thought I would share - I hope it is cool Cristof.

Thats very cool!
When do you start mass production...I'm sure you could sell all you could make!

Well, I am a philosophy professor by trade. I just do this for fun. I am a part of a knife passaround of one of Christof's knives - so we got to talking. I hope he can use it.

Bryan,

I will certainly PM you - I am studying (or should be) for the class that I am taking this semester - so I will likely get back to you tomorrow.

Remember - this is just a hobby and the shop I work in is the schools. I am very luck to have access - but if I can help - I would love to.

Awesome looking!

Your time is worth enough that you'll never beat out the chinese ones on price, but you could probably find enough orders or a waiting list for various models to make it worth doing fairly often.

My impractical side sees all sorts of uses for various sizes and shapes, I could see 2 in my regular full sized FAK right off, one to keep superglue from getting crushed, another to do the same thing for the iodine bottle.

In fact, a superglue case would come in handy for a lot of purposes.

One in about .24 would be great for pellets while out airgun hunting.

Kinda of a crazy thing once you get around the 'one size fits all' production pillbottles

Anyway, I'm stoked!
