ANYTHING from the late night Home Shopping Networks. I don't honestly don't know how you could buy anything of poorer quaility.

this thread reminds me of how much I love Opinels.

last blade I'd carry? Anything with the super, trying too hard to look tactical and cheap, with no stamping on the blade except for "made in China". Like the S&W type knives you see at Big 5 and such.

Because at least Opinels have ridiculous cutting ability and great steel, for what they are.

The Last Blade You'd Ever See Me Carry Is A: Sebenza.

seriously. i am just not going to pay that kind of money for a folding knife.

1. CRKT
2. SOG
3. Kershaw (not including ZT's which I MAY purchase someday depends)
4. Opinel
5. Case
6. SAK
7. Cold steel

You will see me carrying
1. Striders
2. Benchmades
3. Microtechs
4. And last but certainly not least Xm-18's (someday when I can get one at ~400ish)

It is a veritable crapfest when HSN breaks out their flea-market quality knives. I don't know what's funnier; the knives or the sales monkeys that are hyping them.

Any Cold Steel knife.I owned about a dozen of them.Sold them all.

they still sell knives???

I have some I got from them a couple/few years ago that are rather good...

+1 on the HSN knives, remington, smith and wesson, jeep, hummer, surefire (for a different reason than the previously mentioned) basically most brands that are known for something else, not knife making, and should probably stick to that.

There are quite a few folders that cost the same as a Sebenza and more. Any reason you picked it out? Just curious because I have no desire to own a Sebenza either.

Also, the way you worded that, it sounds like you would pay that much for a fixed blade. I have heard people say that before that they would spend so much on a fixed blade but not a folder. It just seems like a folder has a lot more components and requires a higher level of precision to make. A fixed blade for the most part is a hunk of steel with some handle material and isn't as sophisticated. Just wondering.

I won't carry striders for a number of reasons. There are also some custom makers knive's that I won't carry because they are dishonest or have cheated people or they're just plain jerks. I usually won't carry anything with poor f&f or subpar steels or materials.
