The last hike of the year

Doc, are you guys still going without? We're in the middle of a blizzard in Toronto right now. Here's hoping it swings down your way!

Best,

- Mike

Hey Mike, just looked out the window - zilch! You're getting lake-effect snow, must be a southerly wind.

Wow, you still don't have any snow up there yet:eek: That is just plain sad, oh well, still plenty of winter left:thumbup:

Not enough. We usually have a couple of good snowfalls by now, usually one in November. For the most part this sucks, OTH, I had to get a new van this year, and it's front wheel drive - don't like front wheel drive in the snow, and before everybody tells me it's better traction, I have enough tools and parts in my van to afford good traction with rear wheel drive. (Plus I'm old and don't like change :o )

Great pic's Tony. Tried for a little walk in the woods today, the rain we had last weekend made a crust on top of the snow, making it hard to walk in ,even worse for the 4 legged friend I had along.

Wow! Awesome pictures Tony. Like walking through a winter wonder land. We haven't had any snow fall like that here in years now. Those kinds of hikes really make you enjoy a fire and a warm beverage. You going to teach him the fire bow?

You going to teach him the fire bow?

Yes, it is on the list. He has a good idea of how to make a proper fire lay now. He has successfuly started and maintained a fire from only a spark. The bowdrill will come soon.

Keep spreading that knowledge tony ... looks like a really good time .
