The LAST Pocket Stick & Keychain you are ever going to need.

Speaking from the LEO/DefTac point of view, this thing is terrific when you have someone cuffed, it is in your hand and it won't drop, if you have the Cuff Key on it, you double lock them, it is in your hand. It is a probe, and if they get unruly, you are not going to drop the Cruiser keys or anything.

All depends on how you have your keys set up...

A little pressure in the ribs {think splitter} will get someone going if they are cuffed and being stubborn. And that is not even mentioning Yubi Tori which is a particular brand of agony using a Koppo.

Actually, I would love one of these with a pocket clip instead of the key chain. Carried like a pen or in the pants pocket it would provide quick and easy access to a very potent palm stick.

How about it James?
(just send it USPS for me this time, OK?)

Steve,

I now Promote you to "Streetweasel, 1st Dan".

I took a pocket clip off of some large barreled pen that stopped writing some time ago. The clip has "Berol" on it, quite a popular pen in some areas.

I placed this on a MagLite Solitaire and it has stayed there for some time. Until now.

You are in the "E-Vile Genius Sect" now.

I like it!

When training contract security here (no weapons whatsoever) I usually have them train with a pen/mini-mag in their shirt pocket.

Live hand can check/pass/cover while the right draws and strikes.

I wonder if the koppo could be modified slightly to take one of the Spyderco reversible clips. Easy installation, and plenty of replacement clips if you break it.

Steve

BTW, thanks for the promotion, Don.

Well,

I just got off the phone with Bram a little while ago, the initiation into the Brotherhood of The Weasel is going to be interesting...heh heh heh...something is going to get "Gunting'ed."

The clip would have to be nearly circular, might be better just to find a source for clips like these.

I bet the clips that are offered as accessories would work. This one was on a Solitaire...worked great...

Why make it even more expensive? Then you have to make the clip and then drill & tap the sucker...CHA CHING CHA CHING $$$

Due to UPS, you will be paying $50.00 for a strip of metal!

As for a clip, try kydex. It should be easy to form for pocket clip use. Cut it into T. Heat it up shape and fold the top of your T around the shaft. You could even get fancy with the clip and make it fit your belt "J/G" clip style.

More food for thought anyway. Have fun!

Silly question: Does anyone know of a source for clips like the Berol that Don posted earlier? I think it's a great idea but Berol seems to be out of business, and looking through an office supply catalog yielded no pens with similar clips.

Look at magic markers and screwdrivers -- look at the clips, I mean. I have several cheap screwdrivers I bought only for the pocket clip -- look in barrels of "all for a dollar" tools....

Cougar: Thanks, guy!

Postscript to all: some models of the AAA Mini Mag-Lite are sold with pocket clips. To my eyes, the diameter looks the same as the JSP Koppo. I don't know if they'll sell just the clips ( www.maglite.com is still under construction), but the package--in these parts--runs $10-11. To my way of thinking, it's a bit much to pay for a pocket clip but you get a bonus flashlight!
