The last question.

Just be aware!! I bought my first CRK in the first of February. And now I own 3 proudly :) Small 21, Mnandi, and a 25!! All great knives. Enjoy your new addition to life

Good question. I can't say why exactly but some have reported that feeling. Myself included. I think some people put such high expectations of how a purchase like this will make you feel. That even if everything is as perfect as everyone said it would be (and it will be) you just don't really get it right away. That is what I mean by underwhelmed. If you get that feeling, just use it and carry it for a week and it will come to you.

I know you what you mean. After my first sebenza apprecited its perfection soon after I got it but it's not until some time passed that I actually understood what a CRK knife is truly about. You will be impressed but give it some time and I think you will look back and say "ya I get it now" haha it's a cool moment. It's kind of like when a factory fresh sebenza "fully" breaks in!

Raylas, having read this thread and the many good recommendations & info sharing, here's my opinion:

Get a plain Jane small, (or large if your edc chores really warrant a big knife), insingo or 21 with blue thumb lug, carry it, use it, get to know the CRK love a bit and settle back and enjoy it. Having owned a lot of CRKs, I would recommend starting with the carry friendly lovable small insigno or 21....can't start off wrong, IMHO, that way. Good hunting!

Fewpop: I had actually been eyeing one with a damascus blade. The stuff is NICE, and while I know it might up the cost, I love the pattern. Frankly, I don't think I can go wrong with ANY CRK, so at this point, it's more a matter of me deciding what I want*. I know that no matter what I'm getting my money's worth.

* Well, I WANT all of them, this is about which one I want FIRST. :D
