So this is a Strider.

I just got it in a trade and you know what its a nice knife.

I wish I could tell you guys the model on it but I have no idea. It is S30v though and BOS treated. If it were any sharper it'd probably cut itself!

Yeah. I'm not.

And I don't "collect" knives either per se, all mine have the scars from use. But something just won't let me start doing anything more with this little sucker than looking at it and pawing it.

Nick-Nack...There is nothing on it at the Strider site, TNK has never had one, the guys in the Bernard Levine forum either have no idea either :o. So until I find out what the heck this is, it might be better served to hangout in a sock drawer napping lint.

After some review I should probably change the thread title to "I was planning to EDC this little number, but now I am more interested to find out what the heck it is.":D

Feels good to put your index finger on for fine work and I don't know the terminology exactly but when you skin and your flaying the excess fat and chunks o meat when the blade is facing your body, the spine is pinched between your index and thumb with pommel pointing to your nine if your a lefty. Like I said I haven't worked much with this little sucker yet. But the more its handled the more its liked.

*it still seems weird that I like a knife that is expensive, my god this may be a defining forum moment. :foot:

It turns out to be a WP per the guys at Strider, man they got back to me quick and offered to touch it up for nothin...so a user it will be! HAHAHA...once again I have tripped over my ethics and pushed a boot right into a piehole. :foot:

So I guess my new stance is boy I hate most Striders except that one that is in my pocket LOL.
 
It looks a little like their FS model, but I think it might be a custom.
 
Hey Chef so far you got the guys on the Strider Forum stumped... someone said it might be an old model but someone said it might be a special from TAD. But they asked if there are any stamps that say whether or not its BG-42 or Ats-34.
 
That model is alternately referred to as a WP-4 or WP-F.

Had one at one time, wish I had kept it. Very useful design.

Blade marks are S30V, BOS, Strider Name, Strider Logo.
