I just received my prototype hunter from Ricardo Velarde. The handle is sculpted and fits in either hand perfectly. I have never had a knife feel so good in the hand. he is going to make this into an integral knife. Sorry for the crappy pics, it didn't get it until nighttime.

He does beautiful work.
Hope to see him at the NYC show.
Nice knife- that's one to be proud of- thanks for the photo.

Tom, I have been on the road doing some engineering work for Northrop Grumman since July. I will be done by Christmas. I traded knifemaking for a few months to make an enormous amount of money, which will allow me to buy the shop equipment I need (I was using Mike Smiths equipment). Travelling has definitely had its unexpected plusses for knifemaking. I was in Vegas for a month and spent the weekend at Steve Johnson's house. I learned so much and I can't wait to get home to apply it. Also, by the time the Guild Show rolls around (in my backyard now) I will be making folders and autos. I have my Guild signatures for probationary membership, and I just have to send it in when I get off the road. My knifemaking career is just two months from rebirth.

Bob,
That's very comfy looking handle but still has GREAT lines. I like the VERY taperd tang too. Once you get back to the Tampa area we'll have to chat!!
