There are many quality multi tools out there from many different manufacturers but this thread is for leatherman.

Whether you just got your leatherman or have had it for years and it holds sentimental value let's use this thread to post pictures of and talk about your favorite leatherman.

Also if your leatherman saved your rear end in a pinch or made you glad you had it with you post your experience here and share it with us.

Edit to add: Anything leatherman..come on in!

I'll start off with my new to me leatherman rebar, I recently traded a leatherman oht for this leatherman rebar. This thing rocks its come everywhere with me since I got it. Today I'll be putting a clip draw clip on it for pocket carry, I'll post a picture when the clip gets put on. For now here is my leatherman rebar as is..

Now this is a good thread.

I got my Leatherman Rebar last year, after upgrading from the Sidekick. Took a little while to get used to not having the spring loaded pliers anymore.

I can't tell you the number of times the Rebar has come in handy while on the job. That's just a holy crap moment, when you're in a tight position with no maneuvering room, and suddenly it's the included wood or metal saw to the rescue in getting the job done. It gets used more than any other tool I've got at my disposal, and I've got a full tool box.

Awesome, I agree it is a little different going from the spring loaded OHT to the rebar but the longer shanked tools and the compact size make it so useful. The first thing I did with the rebar is change an electrical outlet. I used the flat head, Phillips, wire cutters and wire stripper it was a dream to use. Having everything all in one tool is awesome. Now I don't even miss the spring loaded pliers.

I've been toting a SS Wave for years and love it....saves the day with regularity.
Leatherman was nice enough to send me a current gen Wave once the plier pivot in my previous gen developed some play. Great company and products!

Although I have a fair number of knives and multi-tools in my collection, there are only a few that have sentimental value to me. This is a 9 year EDC that was a constant companion for all kinds of chores and a few "emergencies," one of them involving self defense (didn't come to blows.) Lately it has been replaced by current models, although sometimes I carry it because it fits a NiteIze pouch I like for multiple tools and the others don't. I believe that if Leatherman had never upgraded this original version, I would still be happily toting it, but lock releases and OH opening have their advantages. I even like the sounds it makes when closing up.

That's one tough taco! 9 years is is a lot of time to get attached to your tool lol haha that came off funny. Thanks for sharing. I always liked the saying its better to have it and not need it...glad to see others agree.

Hopefully I won't have to use their warranty but its nice knowing that leatherman has one of the best warranties in the business. Thanks for sharing.

Over many years I have used the warranty service a very few times, none because of an original fault in the tool but strictly due to abuse by their not too bright owner. Leatherman was kind enough to repair them each time at no charge to me. And fast! Never longer than 2 weeks, once in 5 days!

Now that's good customer service! Too many companies sell you a product but customer service beyond the sale is less than par. And to top it all off its american made! Good tool, good warranty, USA made... all win in my book.

Here's with the clip draw clip attached, rides a little high I might move it up. But I like it. Also put in black wire cutters.

Even though I own quite a few Leatherman's there is only one that gets carried ever hour at work , I'm never without it .
I may as well just sell the others because they never get used anymore .

Hardly ever leave home without my leatherman charge tti. Its been on my belt almost everyday for the past two years or so. I carry it in its holster accompanied with the extra sleeve of bits, a bullet space pen, and an olight i3s. Being that guy that always has the multitool I've become "the gadget guy" to most of my friends and family, But I don't mind that title lol
Originally, I started carrying a leatherman because, growing up, I had always seen my dad carry an old leatherman super tool (i think it was). I carried a leatherman wingman before this one, which now resides in the glove box in my car :)

When I go out without wearing a belt I carry a swisstech micro-max with a little sheath i made out of a bent piece of stainless and an old pocket clip.
Cheers,
-Tyler

For the past 9 months, I've been carrying a black Rebar at work. I retired from my admin job in February and went to a much smaller marina where I'm out on the docks everyday. The Rebar opens inspection panels, electrical meter covers and makes numerous small repairs. I like it better than the larger models since I also have a cell phone and keyring on my belt.

This is the one and only Leatherman I've ever had. It was gifted to me by a dear friend in Sept 1994 and has been my constant EDC ever since. It sees use almost daily and has always been there when I needed it.

For me the pliers are by far the most-used tool, from pulling splinters and cactus needles to countless other tasks. I had an upper radiator hose on my truck spring a leak about 15 years ago. I happened to be in town and near an auto parts store, so i walked to the store. I bought a radiator hose and a gallon of coolant and hiked back. With the Leatherman I changed the hose and had the truck back on the road within an hour.

I can't even begin to tell you the endless tasks and repairs this Leatherman has performed. It's truely an awesome companion to have on hand.

Thank you for sharing, this year makes 20 years you've had that leatherman.. that's awesome I hope I get 20 faithful years from my rebar. And by the way that leatherman looks darn good for 20 years old, I bet its got at least another 20 probably more.

Well here's my Leatherman collection. A Squirt ES4, and Juice SC4, and a Rebar. However the Rebar is the only one I've actually used, as I only just got the other two.

Bigger than my leatherman collection, right now I only have my rebar and a cs style. Tomorrow I'll be using the rebar to fix a snowmobile I'll post some pics.
