The Legend of Kancha Kami

Great story. He sounds like a man that would have facinated me as a child also. I loved spending time with my grandfather when I was young because he knew how to do so many things I thought were cool. I inheritated his pedal powered sharpening wheel with the metal seat that he used to sharpen his axes and machetes when I was young. Those formitave years helped make me who I am. It is nice to see the influences that helped shape who you are Lady Yangdu.
I love the khukuri also! Were I not just recovering from the cost of recent surgeries, that lovely khuk with the awesome background and history would be mine would be mine!:(

It's been a long time since I've bought a khuk, I think it's been four years now. I guess I haven't taken a look at the Khukuri FAQs in a while, but what happened to the section with pics of the old knives? I was looking for the pic of Kancha Kami's old knife with the massive brass pommel. It seems to me that that knife looked distinctly different from the new KK offering.

I was lucky: I grew up with a father who had a woodworking shop in the garage! And believe me, I treasure the works of his that I have, just as greatly!
