First time Ive noticed the dog paw lasered on the blade. I assume it’s also on the scales right?

No, sir. Plain Ti scales. The dog paw is also stamped into the blade, not lasered on. I do not know what it signifies, as it was on the knife when I got it. I'll get a better close-up when I get home in a bit.

Interesting, maybe some of the experts will chime in. Did you buy it from bladeshow or second hand? Also curious if it’s labeled 204p steel.

Sorry I didn't get further pictures, the weekend got away from me and I'm not carrying it today. I'll make a note to try to do it later. But to answer your questions, I bought this from Les George back in 2022 direct from his table (found the pic we took together). It was one of four Damascus knives he had, and these were Chad Nichols Damascus blades, if I'm recalling correctly. Not sure of steel composition.

That’s awesome and a great score! While it is boomerang Damascus, there was a batch done around that time period where the blades were mislabeled 204p. I have one and was just wondering if yours was from that same batch.
