The Les George Knives Thread

Wanted to share my only LG related pick up from BladeShow this year. The Ankar spoke to me from the time Les previewed the design so I was really excited to check it out at the show.

As always, the execution and value Defiant7 brings to the table is pretty extraordinary. Exceptional feel in hand, great carry size, blade is an absolute laser beam, and the leather sheath by Skin Bender Leather Works is stellar.

They had versions in black micarta, OD green micarta, and this one-off odd ball black & orange G-10 version. Les sculpted these scales himself, which I thought was a cool touch. Really stoked to use this one for years to come 🤘

Went immediately to Les George table after Hinderer at Bladeshow and he was sold out of all his customs. I got there at 10:30am during the early bird hour before they opened the doors to everyone else.

I’m willing to face the music for going to the Hinderer booth first, Lolol. Do your worst.

I did get to talk to him for a little bit, great dude!!!!! I told him his MK3 was one of my absolute favorite knives of all time, he smiled and then proceeded to pull an MK3 out of his pocket.

I guess I’ll be going to his table FIRST next year.

I heard the vecp’s were gone within in 15 minutes of letting the early birds in. Sorry to hear ya missed but stoked to hear Les is still on 🔥🔥🔥.

What’s the difference between his brand and this? More or less common production runs?

D7 is a company started by Les And Chad Nicholls. It’s a higher volume production company staffed with 4 or 5 guys. They work with and do production runs of other makers popular models.

GKI is just Les and his helper, Parker. Smaller batch production of only Les’ designs made by Les.

Exactly what Mitch just said. Let me add that the Talos in the picture was a DLT 12 days of Christmas special from a few years ago that has a hand ground blade.
